Ever wondered why? Ever wondered how? Ever wondered what? Look for answers by doing a Science Fair project this year!
The fair is being held earlier this year so in case any ambitious folks want to work on something this summer the general instructions are below. Sign up and reminders will come at the start of the school year.
- Think up a question, test your hypothesis, write up your study results, draw pictures, bring demonstrations to show your results. Yes, your parents can help you – but remind them it is YOUR project if they start to have too much fun helping you. The internet and library are great places to look for ideas.
- Don’t want to do an experiment? Try your hand at interviewing a scientist and presenting your interview at the fair. You could describe what they had to study in school. Find out how they got interested in science. Describe their work now. Pictures are always a plus!
- Your presentation must fit on a table in about a 3 foot wide space. We won’t have any way to hang up your presentation – so if you want it to be upright be sure you put it on a self supporting presentation board (these are available at most office supply stores or you can make your own)
Hope to see you at the fair!
