It’s hard to say goodbye to summer, but there’s lots to look forward to as the new school year begins. We hope you’ll join your Wyngate friends at the back-to-school picnic, Thursday, Sept. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m., behind the school. Returning families know that this is a great night catch up with friends you haven’t seen all summer and get back into the school groove. New families, you’ll have a chance to mingle with new friends and learn about the school community.
Here are the highlights:
* Bring your own picnic, or buy pizza, sandwiches, salads and drinks from our friends at Potomac Pizza. Pre-order your pizza dinner by TUESDAY, AUG. 30 at noon (PDF order form attached). Be your best parenting self: Print out the order form now and stick it in your child’s backpack. *Limited* food will be for sale that night, but when it’s gone, it’s gone!
* Bring a blanket or chairs for dinner. We’ll have designated (optional!) seating areas for each grade level so you can connect with folks in your child’s grade.
* The PTA will host a deejay, prizes and other fun for our families.
