We know that this upcoming year of school is different from every other year. Psychologist and Wyngate parent Bonnie Zucker will provide strategies and tips for parents to help children adjust to the new situation and come out on top. Research has shown that children can develop the important life-skill of resilience from navigating effectively through difficult times. Parents can help foster resilience in their child, and the talk will focus on how to do this, and also how to strategically frame the year in a positive way, facilitating a gratitude mindset. Practical suggestions will be offered, including how to deal with common obstacles when it comes to helping our children adapt.

As we prepare for the start of the new school year, we are pleased to be able to provide homeroom information in advance of our normal timeline in an effort to allow you more time to make arrangements for our virtual only start to the 2020-21 school year for the first semester.
